You can decorate your ham pie however you like for a more festive feel, but we went with a simple Christmas tree design.
You can make a ham pie that is perfect for a Christmas party with just a few ingredients. Let’s get started!
𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
- Puff pastry, 3 sheets
- Ham, 250g
- Tomato paste, 1 cup
- Shredded Cheese, 1 cup
- Egg, 1 pc
- Basil leaves
- Coarse salt
𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:
- Place the puff pastry sheet on a pie pan and cut the edges.
- Fill the pie with ham, tomato paste, shredded cheese, and basil leaves as preferred.
- Place another puff pastry sheet on top, fold the top layer of dough under the bottom layer’s edge, and press the edges together to seal.
- Cut a Christmas tree shape from a puff pastry sheet and place it on top of the pie.
- Poke the surface of the pie with a fork to allow steam to escape while baking.
- Brush the pie with egg and sprinkle with coarse salt.
- Bake for 20 minutes at 180°C in the oven.
