A classic Viennese recipe sausage that is smoked and frequently used for hotdogs or BBQ’s. The word Wiener is German for Viennese. In Austria, the term “Wiener” is uncommon for this food item, which instead they usually call it Frankfurter Würstl.
The Vienna Sausage 500gm tastes moderately salty. It also goes through a smoking process of at least 20 minutes for a wonderful smoky flavour. You will get a mouthfeel of snappy crunch when biting into it due to its collagen casing. It also has a chewy texture as well. Due to natural smoking, the casing will sometimes have uneven colour which is a telltale sign that we do not use liquid smoke in our products.
To prepare the meat for cooking, remember to let it thaw completely. For chilled products, place the product in its original package on a plate in room temperature for 30 minutes. For frozen products, place the product on a plate in the fridge overnight (12-24 hours). To check if the product is ready for cooking, touch it to feel. If the meat is not hard to touch or is easily bendable like fresh meat, it will be ready for cooking.
Keep Refrigerated At 0-4°C
Consume Within 3 Days Of Opening or Freeze if Not Consumed
